Privacy Policy — Pulse

Last updated: 09/01/2026

Pulse is a session planning and lineup tool for youth soccer coaches. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version: Pulse does not collect anything. There is no account, no server, and no internet connection required. Everything you create stays on your device.

Information we collect

None.

Pulse has no user accounts, no login, and no backend server. We do not collect, transmit, store, or have any access to your personal information, your usage of the app, or the content you create in it.

We do not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or any third-party tracking services.

Information stored on your device

Everything you create in Pulse is stored locally on your phone:

This data lives in the app’s own private storage on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere, it is not backed up to any server we control, and we cannot see it.

If your device is set to back up app data through Apple iCloud or Google’s backup service, this information may be included in that backup. Those backups are governed by Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies, not ours.

Deleting the app deletes the data. Because everything is stored locally, removing Pulse from your device permanently removes the drills, sessions, and lineups you created in it. There is no copy on a server to restore from.

Player names

Pulse lets you label players on a lineup with a name or initials. These labels are typed by you, stored only on your device, and never transmitted anywhere. We have no access to them.

If you are entering the names of minors, that information stays on your device under your control. We recommend using first names or initials.

Sharing and exports

Pulse can export a drill or lineup as an image, or a session as a PDF, and hand the file to your device’s standard share sheet.

The file is created on your device and passed to whichever app or destination you choose — Messages, email, AirDrop, or another app. Pulse does not upload it anywhere, and we never see it. Once you hand a file to another app, that app’s own privacy policy applies.

Exported files are written to a temporary cache on your device and cleaned up automatically.

Photo library access

If you choose Save Image from the share sheet, your device will ask for permission to add the file to your photo library. Pulse requests add-only access. It cannot read, browse, or access any existing photos on your device — it can only write the file you asked it to save.

Internet access

Pulse does not require an internet connection and does not make network requests. It works entirely offline.

Children’s privacy

Pulse is intended for use by adult coaches. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Pulse introduces features that change how information is handled — for example, optional cloud sync — this policy will be updated before those features are released, and the change will be described here.
